Welcome to Laurent ALVAREZ home page

This page deals with my scientific background right from the beginning of my Ph.D thesis up to my second postdoc at ESRF. I try to give here an overview of the different methods I have used for studying carbon nanostructures such as fullerenes and single wall nanotubes. Hence, production of nanotubes by the solar method, Raman spectroscopy, X ray absorption and X ray photoemission are briefly described. You can find as well some very interesting links to the different labs I have worked with and then deepen your knowledge about either carbon nanostructures or the experimental methods. Please let me know if you enjoyed reading this page and what kind of improvement you would like to find. Thank's a lot!
