Ms. Charina C. Y. Chan, M.B.A., D.I.C., B.Sc.

Ms. Charina C. Y. Chan is currently the Director of Executive Acquisitions with a leading regional Financial Holdings company in Asia. Prior to Charina’s current appointment, she was involved in executive search work for close to a decade. In executive search, Charina’s primary focus was on the financial services sector, where she has recruited senior professionals in areas such as investment banking, treasury and markets, private banking, private equity and investment management for leading regional and global financial institutions. In addition to the financial services sector, Charina has also conducted extensive work for clients in the energy, industrial, technology and consumer goods sectors in regional countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and India. Charina started her career in Executive Search with an Asian-based search firm, where she helped set up their operations in Singapore. She subsequently joined Russell Reynolds Associates where she worked as a consultant for several years before moving to Spencer Stuart Associates as a Director. Very early on in her career, Charina worked in the Engineering Library at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. Charina holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Microbiology from the National University of Singapore, a Master’s degree in Business Administration specializing in Finance and a Diploma of Imperial College (DIC) from The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London, England. She is a Fellow of the Cambridge Philosophical Society in England, and also a former member of Mensa (U.K.).
