This page was created with the intent to tell the truth about what is happening to Santa Fe Community College, from a worker's perspective and from a student's perspective as well. The Board of Directors is out of touch with the workers and students of this school, as they are only on campus about once a month - when it is time for a Board Meeting! We really are the ones that make this school work, and it is up to us to take it back from those who would sell off every last piece to the profit-minded privatizers. A member of the Education Workers Union IU620 of the IWW, Jason Adams, recently gave a speech to the Board of Directors to try to speak up for bookstore workers who stood to lose their jobs during the sellout to Barnes and Noble. He was completely ignored by our so called administration and they all approved it immediately after he sat down. You can check out his speech at the link below. As the cogs that make this machines wheels go round, our situation as workers and studnents is very interrelated, and therefore we must stick together. There will be a guestbook here soon, and we at the Mutiny Page look forward to the many lively discussions and connections that are likely to crop up here in the months to come.
