Welcome to the Home Page of the Individualist Ring. You will be able to add your site to the Individualist Ring on this page. Members can also edit their ring information here, so please bookmark this page if you intend to join the ring.
The Individualist Ring is a nonpartisan webring of sites with two major purposes: the promotion of a strong sense of individualism and firm opposition to any form of collectivism. This is just a general outline, of course. To become a member of the Individualist Ring, you must have an individualistic site, or a site that has some individualistic content on it.
individualism
1. A social theory advocating the liberty, rights, or interests of the individual. |
2. The principle of independent thought or action. |
Although this ring in general is nonpartisan, individual members may be partisan (I am). Members are not responsible for content on other sites in the Individualist Ring. All that is required is that the sites contain individualistic information, and possibly some anticollectivist information. If you have any questions or would like me to check your site, just e-mail your name and address to me. I reserve the right to deny membership to any site that promotes collectivism, in any form, and to any site that promotes violence or any illegal behaviour. Each site will be reviewed on an individual basis. For a general idea of the types of sites and content on the Individualist Ring already, you may want to look at the list of sites on the Individualist Ring.
To add your site to the queue, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Submitting your page to the queue is the first step in becoming a member of the Individualist Ring. After you submit your page to the queue, you will receive your an e-mail with all of your member information (including your new site ID number) and an html fragment to be placed on your page in some prominent position.
If the code is inserted correctly, the following banner will appear on your page:
[Next Site] [Next 5 Sites] [Random Site] [Previous Site] [Join the Ring] |
When your site is on the queue and the the code is on your page, please e-mail me so that I can add your site to the Ring.
Your e-mail should include your name, e-mail address, page title and address, and your site's ID number. You may use this form instead of e-mailing me. I will notify you once your site has been added to the Individualist Ring.
Before you send the e-mail, please make sure that the html code is on your page. I will not add your site to the ring if the html code is not on your page.
Your site will not be added to the Ring until the html code is on your page.
You must place the code on the URL that you register. NOTE: If the html code is removed after registration, your site will be removed from the Ring.
If you have any problems with the code, please feel free to e-mail me.
The Individualist Ring html fragment is available here. If you cut and paste this ring fragment instead of the one that you will receive in the e-mail, it is very important that you replace all instances of "_SITE_ID_HERE_" with your own site ID number. If you do not, the ring banner will not function in the way that it should.
If you haven't done so already, you may visit my own site, The Right Ideology.
If you have any other questions, please e-mail me at smithda@echo-on.net.
