The Branch is located in Auckland, the largest city of New Zealand (pop. 1 million). The Branch is an incorporated society for Radio Amateurs and interested persons. Meetings are held at the Civil Defence centre 400 East Coast road on every Monday at 1930 hours (7.30pm), on a monthly cycle, and every Saturday at 0900 hours. 1st Monday -- General meeting. 2nd Monday -- Communications Group 3rd Monday -- Committee meeting 4th Monday -- Ragchew 5th Monday -- Special technical topics. The Saturday morning sessions are a kind of "clinic" for solving member's problems. Demonstrations of radio equipment, principles and techniques by guest speakers are a feature of the meetings. Radio frequencies used in Emergencies:- 3.9 MHz USB, 147.425 MHz FM
Club meetings on the radio AIRwaves:
VHF 147.425 MHz FM 1945 hours, Wednesday evenings.
HF 3775 kHz LSB 0900 hours, Sunday mornings.
The branch participates in the Auckland VHF Groups' VHF News & Net 146.625 MHz FM (Klondike repeater), 2015 hours Sunday evenings. Listen to what all the clubs in Auckland are doing in the comming month.
