Abstract:
Establishing Information as a Corporate Asset Using a Data Integration Framework

Enterprises have made significant investments in ERP, CRM, SCM, analytical applications, data warehouses and data marts. After all that enterprises are awash with data with conflicting interpretations and lack the "single version of the truth." The key to turning data into an enterprise information asset is a Data Integration Framework (DIF). The DIF comprises processes, standards, people and tools used to transform data into information for tactical operations and strategic analysis. Attendees will learn:

Speaker Biography

Richard Sherman is the founder of Athena IT Solutions.

Rick has over seventeen years of data warehousing and business intelligence experience, having built his first data warehouse and data mart in 1987. He has been designing and implementing relational database for decision support systems for over 20 years, beginning with using Oracle in 1982. He has worked on over 50 data warehousing implementations across many industry groups, sourcing data from a variety of business applications.

  1. Take Route 128 North/South to Exit 26 (Route 20).
  2. Follow signs for Route 20 East.
  3. At the second light, take a left onto Eddy Street. (A brick church on the left) [Eddy Street intersects with Main Street at the light]
  4. You will see a large building complex on Main Street. (One Fleet Place is on the left)
  5. Cross Main Street and drive into the garage.
  6. Parking is available at the Fleet parking lot at 1025 Main Street (next door). Only persons with a Fleet ID are allowed into the garage for security reasons. When you drive up to the main garage you will be directed to the outdoor parking facility:
    1025 Main Street (next door)
    Prospect Hill Road & Main Street
  7. Once you arrive back at the garage entrance, go through the doors opposite the electronic gates to the front desk.
  8. The security guards in the lobby will request ID and can assist you.
