The Diff Lock Install story:

It starts with the picture from my front page... 3 Broken teeth on both the Ring and Pinion Gear..  OUCH!!!

It was too hard to glue back together all these little tiny peices that came out of the diff...

So I'd just have to get a new one...and for about the same price as new limited slip unit, I could put in a Factory Electric locker....Cool.... about $800 smackers!!! ouch!!!

These are the modifications that have to be done to the stock housing to make the new one fit.... Its not that hard but a Project non-the-less!!! This requires some welding, quite a lot of grinding, drilling and tapping, and some patience.... and you better be accurate or you're screwed!!! Finally finished my mods... looks pretty good ehhh...

After drilling and tapping the new bolt holes, one of the long bolts was slightly off center requires some honing to the diff housing.... after many attemps of honing and alligning, it finally fit nice and tight....it was a real pain in the ass! So if you do it, get it right... this thing (diff) weighs 65lbs ,compared to the 48lbs orig.

Fresh, Clean, and ready for install... after about 3 weekends on jacks..
