WINTER
This was a fun project we did last winter. First I drew the outline of the snowman on a large sheet of blue paper. I gave each child a piece of white typing paper and asked them to tear it up into little pieces and make a pile in front of them (we were sitting on the floor). I then told them I was going to read a winter story and when I got to the part that said "the snow fell" everyone would stand up and toss their paper into the air. After the snowstorm, I passed out snowshovels (plastic spoons) and we all picked up the snow and glued it to our snowman. I think the idea came from Instructor magazine.
