A superb, and beautiful
opener for any album (well maybe not a heavy metal one...). 'Canadian Skye'
rekindles some SOTW magic, with it's energy filled air instrumentation. The
lyric is simple, but powerful, and secondary to the music here. The backing
vocals by Karen Matheson are a welcome addition, the soothing female voice complements
it nicely. 'Canadian Skye' features two traditional reels. the 'Kilavell
Reel', and the'Congress Reel'. Ric Sanders adds the violin, and Donald
Shaw the accordian.
