"Blue Foxfire"

Thanks to Red Ventling's beaded cab tutorial and Charlene Booth's excellent description on how to do twisted fringe, "Blue Foxfire" was possible to acheive. This is another fantastic dichroic piece by Donna Palmer of Magic Wishes. If you look very closely, you can see the fox hiding behind the flames.

My latest version of the pouch technique given to us by Janice Yankee. I wanted something in a plum color with freshwater pearls. I love the lacy victorian feel that this technique gives.

I've started playing with wire jewelry. This piece was inspired by a similar project in the book Making Wire Jewelry by Helen Clegg & Mary Larom. I've made one of these according to their directions, but on this one I thought it would be neat to add the beads. Makes me want to do more wire work.

This piece, "Cat Freeform," was created as a trade for my Reiki Master attunement. It is my first fully completed peyote freeform piece.

My instruction from the person who I created it for... "Here is the cat bead, create something around it."

This fairy is a project/pattern from Rita Sova's book, Butterfly & Fairy Designs. She was definitely a challenge for me, in the brick stitch and the assembly of the piece. Can't wait to get started on another one.

My first beaded bezel! I finally took the plunge and attempted the beaded bezel. I'm quite pleased with the results. My best friend Alli is the recipient of this piece as a Christmas gift. She loved it.

I got this awesome dichroic glass piece through ebay from a lovely lady named Donna Palmer. Go check out Magic Wishes to see other dichroic pieces and beaded works of art.

This is the pouch I made for my mother for Christmas. I used the technique Janice Yankee shared with us in the April '98 Bead & Button. Can you see why I am in love with the darker beads? Rust with black c/l and a luster finish. YUMMY!

My first attempt at freeform peyote sculpture. Still in progress, but I'm liking what it is doing so far...

This RAW amulet necklace was inspired by the one in Carol Wilcox Well's Creative Bead Weaving. The earrings are mine though. ;^) I keep a small piece of star garnet and a small piece of amber inside.

After these, I am really comfortable with the brick stitch. :^D They are about 1 1/2" wide and 3" high...great shoulder dusters.

Speaking of shoulder dusters...I had won a pair like these in a raffle several years ago, but they weren't in my colors. I liked the style so much I made myself this pair and gave the others to my mother in law, who loves them.

Mom is the benificiary of most of my beadwork (and she really hates that...heehee) I made these to go with a beaded obsidian point I had done for her a few years ago. Size 15s, am I nucking futs?

Bright Beaded Blessings!
