TAROT FOR REAL PEOPLE STUDY GROUP - Lesson Nine

LESSON NINE

Tarot for Real People Study Group

READING ASSIGNMENT:

Chapter Three, _Connecting_ - "Dream-Play with Tarot," pp. 85 - 91

As with the last section, I'm not going to say much about this lesson. I am, however, going to urge you to try several of the "hints" listed in the book that are designed to help dream recall. The Tarot and dreams both speak to a different level of ourselves than that with which we normally deal - both speak to our "higher" or "inner" self. A person's dreams are a very personal thing; for that reason, I'm going to say that you only need to share as much, through the questions/activities, as you're comfortable with. This lesson, as with this study group, is geared toward helping you invite the Tarot influences into your daily lives - it's not for the entertainment value of us as individuals, nor is it to satisfy our prurient curiosities. If you're comfortable divulging your dreams, so be it...and if you're not, that's okay, too.

Questions/Activities

  1. Try several of the suggestions for better dream recall. Are they helping?
  2. For one week, try keeping a Tarot dream-play journal. Are you learning anything about yourself by doing this, and by examining your dreams?
  3. Select one or two of the three "activities". If you're comfortable doing so, tell the group about the dreams, in as much detail as you're comfortable, and the results of the activity.
