New book out - Rage of a Demon King - I read this book over the weekend, and I couldn't put it down! I thought it was Feist's best novel since the Riftwar Saga. The most appealing aspect is the way Feist keeps many plots going at once, and switching between them at the right moments. This book was the third book of the four part Serpentwar Saga. The first in the Saga, Shadow of a Dark Queen, was another great book, but the second book, Rise of a Merchant Prince, I didn't find as enjoyable as nothing substantial happened in it. In the new novel, you find out all you ever wanted to know about Macros the Black, Nakor, Miranda, Gathis, the Gods, the Universe, and more. Many major characters die off as Feist severs almost all ties from the Riftwar Saga. Another thing Feist does so well are the battle scenes, like the great seige of Armengar in Darkness at Sethanon, and he continues his greatness with the battle scenes in this book. As always, I prefer the common soldiers fighting, and common people's problems rather than the super powerful, but this book blended both together well.
