Biographical Sketch

Russell W. Anderson is Head of Decision Science at Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) and the Vice President of Product Development for the Ischem Corporation (Vascular image analysis and diagnotics). He also serves on the advisory board for No Lie MRI (Lie detection using fMRI brain scans). He previously held positions as First VP, Decision Science at Chase Card Services, Director of Modeling at HNC Software, and Research Scientist at Smith Kettlewell Eye Research Institute and the California Department of Health Services. Dr. Anderson's academic research interests include pattern recognition, mathematical modeling of biological systems (neural, immune, and evolutionary). He received his Ph.D. in bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco. He has published over 30 scientific papers, holds 3 US patents, 1 international patent, and 5 pending.
