By now, you've probably heard the story...whether it was in your local newspaper, on the network news, or CNN. You may have seen it on television in Germany, or heard about it on the radio in Japan, Australia, or South Africa. It seems, however, that some people were hoping for an update which just never came. Well, we'll try to do what we can. |
SMALL SAMPLE OF NEWS CLIPS the first Star Tribune article |
The picture above is of Mr. and Mrs. Weinlick, just minutes after the gala affair on June 13th. They are seen here outside the Chapel of Love in the Mall of America.
We all found it pretty amazing how crazy it got at the mall that day...here, Roman talks to some candidate whose identity has been lost in the shambles that our brains became that day. Luckily, the troop of friends and family who helped out could spread the day's work out between them. Any one of us would have bounced our way out of there otherwise.

After we fled the mall--the hive of
the media swarm--we had a beautiful reception at Cy and
Dori's house, which involved lots of Borealis beer and
toasts from everyone. You can see Cy hovering over the grill
in his "I'm not Dave, but I'm single" shirt, while SJ chomps
on a brat. James, The Voice of Love, is chumming it up with
Taro, who was a great photographer (obviously, he didn't
take this picture). Jacq and Matt flank
Pete, the Voice of Reason, and Sue, who is clearly taking
advantage of Pete's beer-drinking (he's still pretty
reasonable, and the bitterness sometimes gets even
better).

As the days passed, we got a chance to relax, and had dinner with my folks out in New York. Isn't this an adorable couple?
