Event: National Dark Sky Night
Place: Your back yard
Date & Time: Friday, April 12th 8-10 ET (later for pacific)
Why: Light Pollution is the excess light hanging in the atmosphere. National Dark Sky Night gives you a chance to see the universe without this problem.
What you'll need: a Telescope, binoculars, or just your eyes!
A red flashlight

Clothes for the weather
Your lights OUT!
Food
A chair

In order for National Dark Sky Night to be a success, everyone has to turn out their lights. If you don't want to go outside and participate, please be considerate to those who do. Ex.
Turn out porch lights
If you stay home, keep lighting to a minimum

Get together with a group of friends or your family and have fun! Discover the universe as our ancestors saw it-even if it's just for a few hours-under dark skies.Turn out your lights and see the greatest show ever created!
