This is just a list of all the vehicles and their definitions, for some of the descriptions it's like 'DOH!', but remember, this is for everyone.
Rocket Ship
- Rocket Ship
- league of it's own. it stores materals, provideds some offices and appartments, generates 15 units of power to get you started and can defend it's self aginst attack.
Apartments/Offices
- Apartments
- based on population; as your population grows, the size of apartments available increases.
Capacity: 100, 150, 300, 500, 800, 1000 colonists
- Office Buildings
- Provide a workspace for all colonists not driving (this means working and idle).
Capacity: 100, 200, 400, 600, 700
NOTE: if there is a need, and enough food, population will grow until either reaches double capacity. Then stop, unless you build more apartments or offices.
Services
- Research Institute
- research new technologies, the more you have the faster it goes.
- Repair Facility
- repair land vehicles, one at a time. Be careful about putting materials in this building, they are extremly difficult to get out.
- Warehouse
- stores materials. Very useful at a second base or if or if your factories are not near your rocket ship or if your rocket ship is destroyed. Can start loading it as soon as construction starts.
- Embassy
- set relations with other players. I haven't found it very useful in single player.
- Command Center
- although in the "military" category technically, it is much more of "service" building as it directs advanced research and provides radar. It can neither defend it's self or manufacture military vehicles. It is an extremly important building, without it research is very limited.
- Seaport
- freightors can unload cargo here. It can fire on enemy units. That's about it.
Factories
Foctories need a lot of power, if all the factories are going at the same time, you will have a huge spike in power consumption, maby brown-outs. This is because they only take half power when idle, then god back to full when manufacturing. So if you have a few Dread an Assault or two, weapons, and warship factories running at same time, it'll use tons of power.
- Vehicle
- Light Factory, can manufacture only unarmed vehicles, even so it is an essential building.
Lets you research large vehicles, Mid-Sized Buildings, Sailboats
Can manufacture Cranes, Heavy Trucks, Outriders
- Weapons
- Light Factory, can manufacture all light military vehicles and one medium. Can make Outriders more efficently than Vehicle Factories can
Lets you research (if have Command Center, otherwise, don't get any new things) Large Buildings, Radar, New Construction
Can manufacture Outriders, Spotters, Infantry Carriers, Destructors, Mortars
- Assault
- Medium factory, can manufacture all medium vehicles and some heavy vehicles.
Lets you research Adv. Military Buildings, Heavy Vehicles and Advanced Radar.
Can manufacture Infantry Carriers, Spotters, Heavy Rovers, Boss8800, Atomizers, Cannons
- Dread
- Heavy factory, can build most medium and all heavy land vehicles. Can make many of the vehicles that an Assault Factory does, but faster and using less materals.
Lets you research Adv. Construction, Adv. Manufacturing
Can manufacture Heavy Rovers, Boss8800, Atomizers, Cannons, Rocket Launchers. The only new vehicle is the Rocket Launcher, it is only manufactured in the Dread Factory.
- Shipyard
- manufacture light factory, manufacture basic sea vesles.
Can manufacture Landing Craft, Freighters, Gunboats
- War Ship
- manufactures more powerfull ships and lets you make some previous ones faster and with less reasources. However, Landing Craft, when built here take some Xilithium.
Can build Landing Craft, Gunboats, Destroyers, Frigates. Can repair any ship.
Manufacturing
- Refinery
- Makes gas. Lets you research gas turbines, Xilithium
- Smelter
- Makes steel from Iorn and Coal. Very important building.
Power Plants
- Coal
- Burns Coal, makes power. Is the first one you can build, you should be able to get by with just one untill you can build nuclear power plants.
- Oil
- Burns Oil to make power. In my opion you shouldn't even bother building one. First, it takes yaluable oil that could be turned into gas. Second if you can build them, you only need to research Nuclear Power and then you can build a nuclear power plant, that gives you twice the power at no opperating cost becides people.
- Nuclear
- uses nuclear fission to generate power, no materals needed to run! once you can build them you don't need to worry about power, if you get a little low, just build another.
Fortifications
Fortifications take a lot of power, I have 1/3 to 1/2 of all my electricity going to fortifications (another 1/3 going to my factories).
- Pillbox
- Lightest stationary defence, but just because it is the lightest dosn't mean it is useless. It has the firepower and armor equal to a frigate and lets you start upgrading your vehicles. It is cheap, quilk to build, low on the power and people comsumption. It's only weakness is a rather shorter range than other fortifications. It can be used to plug gaps between bunkers and forts.
- Bunker
- Medium level fortification. All around good: takes half the time a fort does to build, durable and powerfull. It does take a lot more materals to build, more power and more people than just twice as much as a pillbox.
- Fort
- Heaviest fortification. Takes forever to build (even with three cranes it takes a long time) and needs two truck loads of materals to construct. It needs an incredable amount of power, for every three forts you need one nuclear power plant. Use to protect most important buildings
