I first started getting interested in the Dark Sun setting with another playing group. After that first adventure, I was enthralled by the savagry, the brutality, and the potential storytelling ability of the setting. I immediatley created my first real character, a half-elven defiler. I chose this class because my favorite regular character class is the mage. I thought the preserver/defiler system was exceptional. I naturally chose this because I wanted power. I was actually afraid of the world and the people in it. I wanted my character to be a great event shaper of the world. I formed the goal, and eventually chose this character as the cornerstone of my own, first Dark Sun campaign. I have decided to share this here because I was wanting to write and publish a novel about the character, but I was already wrapped up in a Dragonlance book project. Therefore, I invite you to enter Defiler's acension.
I want major feedback on this project. Opinions, criticism, are all accepted. If anyone has information about the Dark Sun NetProject, I would like to hear about locations and completion dates of those works.
