In his painted graphic works, the colour takes over the normative functionality of the drawing, in an attempt to get special representation only by chromatic harmonies and ensions. The artist himself defines his pictorial work as a means of knowledgw through imaginative exploration.

Concerned in painting as well as in decorative arts, Aurel Manole shows to be fascinated by the materiality of the objects surrounding him; his charming universe, his tendency towards pictorial settings and sensitive-structural compositions point out a typical disposition. His paintings represent large frameworks achieved by means of large, free touches applied either in thin couches or superpositions which emphasize the volume.
