The Battlestar Pacifica was christianed in the yahren 6700. She was the largest battlestar built to date. Commander Jar took command and led the mighty vessel through many famous battles such as the Battle of Orion, the Commanar Nebula incident, and the Invasion of Aria. Jar retired and was followed by Ord Atrakis.
Commander Ord led a brilliant career for the Pacifica. Fighting numerous battles Ord led a career that paralled the likes of the great leaders such as Cain and Adama. He helped stave off numerous Cylon offenses and retired to take a position in the Quorum of Twelve. The brilliant young Commander Luna took the helm.
Commander Luna was the first female Commander of the Pacifica. She led rather successful missions against the Cylons. Luna received numerous awards and medals for her valliant efforts to save the Battlestars: Solaria, Olympia, and Prometheus. She was in command on the fateful armistice day when the Cylons ambushed the fleet at Cimtar. Luna was killed early in the ambush and Captain Tina Atakis, Ords daughter, took command.
After the Atlantia was destroyed, a Cylon raider went upon a suicide path and destroyed the Pacifica's bridge crew. Captain Tina rushed up to find the bridge destroyed. Taking command of the vessel, she commanded the ship from the secondary bridge deep within the bowels of the ship. Launching all vipers on board, Tina took command of the entire fleet and ordered an immediate withdrawel to unknown space. Unfortunately after the Galactica left, the Acropolis met a similar fate as the Atlantia rather quickly and left the Columbia, Pacifica, and the frigate Triton.
The Columbia and Pacifica began to leave when the Triton was destroyed. Shortly after the Columbia exploded into a million pieces leaving only the Pacifica. The remaining raiders
attacked heavily upon the Pacifica. The Cylons destroyed the beta landing bay and produced numerous fires throughout the ship before it finally escaped and fled to the outer colony of
Thule.
