"It was a time of war throughout the land, young and fiercely beautiful, the lovely Delilah had seen enough of the bloodshed...Delilah tore hungrily at Antonio's dungarees which slipped to the floor like so many curtains in a blustery, summer storm. Her womanly being was dewy from anticipation as he stood before her golden and glistening with turgid yearning...And the war continued to rage across the land like a grass-fire in the desert." Here's a little spot we created to feature those authors who don't get paid for their literary endeavors. If you know of anybody you'd like to suggest as a featured author email me at maraj42@aol.com.

Debuting Tonight:

Haunted Eyes, Jilly-chan - The number of Gundam Wing fics on the net has exploded faster and more spectacularly than Heero Yuy himself - and much of it falls into the same category with those soapy, laborious Luke and Mara/Qui-Gon and Obi Wan fics that have plagued Star Wars for so long. Not that there isn't a place for romance, etc. However, I've yet to find a significant number of authors interested in writing seriously about giant robots, the nature of god and the humanity of war. But I may have found my first one:

This is a weird little story - but good weird. It's good enough that the reader forgets this is fanfiction and actually starts to take the characters seriously on their own merits. Not an easy task. Or one that's always desirable. Here it works masterfully: Loved the descriptions. Loved the voice and perspective of the main character - one of the sadly underused female characters in the GW universe.
