Thor Corps
_____
Of all the major Marvel heroes, I have always been least fond of Thor. I don't know why. It's just a matter of preference, I guess.
_____But I do have a couple of things relating to the God of Thunder. Avengers stuff, of course, and also some cross-over stuff (like OpGalStorm and Atlantis Attacks, etc.) and the stories relating to the Thor Corps. It's a neat idea, this bringing together of various incarnations of Thor. And the similar powers bestowed by omniscient old guy schtick makes this vaguely reminiscent of the Green Lantern Corps.
_____That's the pre-amble. Here's the breakdown.
_____The Thor War: a story arc in the main Mighty Thor title, this is the first appearance of the team comprised of various incarnations of Thor as they fight Zarko the Tomorrow Man (aka Kang Lite). The characters are not that well explained for those who don't know them, but the dynamic created by the likeable everyman Eric Masterson (at that time a replacement for Thor, and later the hero Thunderstrike), arrogant jerk future Thor, and the alien Beta Ray Bill is fairly good.
_____The Thor Corps Mini-Series: I actually read this before the above, and it is a lot of fun, as the Thors (joined by the real Silver Age Marvel hero) tangle with such varied characters as the Golden Age Invaders, Marvel's Western Heroes, and of course the reason I picked it up, the first ever meeting between a regular Marvel Universe character and a 2099 one, in this case Spidey 2099.
