The Resistance

. Ham Tyler

A former CIA agent, Ham Tyler was part of a secret branch of U.S. covert operations at the time the Visitors first arrived. As the L.A. Resistance began to make a name for itself Tyler and his associate, Chris Faber, aided them with their military and espionage expertise. After V-Day Tyler started his own private security company and was later hired by Nathan Bates to kidnap Diana in an attempt to gain her secrets about the captured mother ship.

....Juliet Parrish

Julie was a biomedical student when the Visitors first arrived. Shortly afterward, several of her colleagues and friends disappeared when the Visitors began their campaign to silence the scientists of the world. Julie and others formed the first small Resistance group, and despite her modesty soon became a role model and leader for the L.A. group. Julie was instrumental in the discovery of the Red Dust that temporarily banished the Visitors from Earth, and afterward she worked at Science Frontiers where she kept watch on Nathan Bates.

....Martin

Martin was the leader of the Fifth Column aboard the L.A. mother ship, an underground group of Visitors who disagreed with the Leader's plans for Earth and humanity. As a high-ranking security officer, Martin was able to help the Resistance by supplying them information as well as weapons, uniforms, and other materials. After the Visitors were temporarily banished from Earth by the Red Dust, Martin remained in L.A. working as a cameraman with Donovan. He died while attempting to kill Diana for her crimes against humanity, but instead she wounded him and escaped with his last dose of anti-toxin.

....Kyle Bates

The son of Science Frontiers CEO Nathan Bates, Kyle seems to have little else in common with his father. Kyle first met Robin Maxwell while she was making her way home after escaping from a Visitor work camp. Delivering her back to the Resistance, Kyle then met Elizabeth and became involved in the Resistance movement.

....Elizabeth

Known as the "Star Child," Elizabeth is the first and only inter-species offspring. Immediately after birth she began growing at an alarming rate, shedding her skin as a Terran reptile does. On V-Day, Elizabeth was instrumental in preventing the L.A. mother ship's "doomsday device" from activating and destroying much of Earth. A year later Elizabeth metamorphosed from a young girl into a teenage woman -- but still with the mind of a child. As Elizabeth struggles to understand herself and to control her psychic abilities, matters are further complicated when both she and her mother compete for the attentions of Kyle Bates.

....Michael Donovan

Cameraman Mike Donovan was on assignment in Central America when the Visitor ships first arrived in Earth's skies. Skeptical of the Visitors, he infiltrated the Los Angeles mother ship and was the first to discover the truth about the Visitors -- and live to tell. Although a bit of a loner and fiercely independent, Donovan soon became an integral part and vital member of the Resistance.

....Robin Maxwell

When the Visitors first arrived, Robin was instantly attracted to the local "Friends of the Visitors" youth group leader, Brian. Diana used this attraction against her, arranging for Brian to impregnate her while Robin was held captive on the mother ship. Robin was later rescued by Donovan, but soon realized she was pregnant with Brian's child. When she finally delivered, Robin gave birth to twins -- one mostly reptilian, the other mostly human. The reptilian infant died shortly after birth, but its death provided the necessary clues to formulate a biological weapon for use against the Visitors. When Brian was captured by the Resistance, Robin -- emotional and angry about her betrayal and rape by him -- successfully tested the new weapon by exposing the Visitor to it, killing him.

....Willie

Willie was a Visitor technician originally destined to be stationed in the Middle East, but then reassigned to Los Angeles at the last moment. As a result he never fully learned the English language, and his attempts at seemingly simple phrases often lead to humorous errors. He was kidnapped by the Resistance shortly before their raid on the media event at the L.A. Medical Center, but Willie sympathized with the humans and joined them. After V-Day, Willie stayed in L.A. to work as a waiter at the Club Creole restaurant.
