Charles Lyons
Charles Lyons is a film reporter and columnist at Variety. His articles have
appeared in the New York Times, Premiere and the San Francisco Chronicle. He
is the author of the book "The New Censors: Movies and the Culture Wars" and
he holds a Ph.D. in drama and film from Columbia U. Lyons worked in
production on such films as "Billy Bathgate" and "Mr. Holland's Opus" and
associate produced WNYC-TV documentaries "More Than Broken Glass: Memories
of Kristallnacht" and a documentary about NYC's Charter revision process.
